About Piktochart and ThriveCart

Piktochart is a Malaysia-based SaaS company that helps individuals and organizations create professional visual content, including presentations, reports, infographics, and videos. As part of ThriveCart, its parent company and a leading e-commerce platform, Piktochart operates with a globally distributed team across Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Visual & Motion Designer, I collaborated with the design team, marketing team, ThriveCart developers, and Piktochart’s CEO to deliver creative solutions across multiple projects and campaigns. Working with teams across Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe, I balanced competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining clear communication across time zones.

My primary responsibilities included creating promotional videos for product launches and marketing campaigns, designing templates for Piktochart’s user library, and supporting web design initiatives and updates for both Piktochart and ThriveCart.

From Brief to Final Video

To support product launches and marketing campaigns, I partnered with the marketing team to create promotional and educational videos highlighting new Piktochart features. Starting from creative briefs, I developed storyboards and transformed concepts into fully produced videos for Instagram, YouTube, and web channels.

I was responsible for the art direction, illustration, animation, and final production of each video, ensuring complex features were communicated in a clear and engaging way.

Turning Information into Visual Stories

I collaborated with the marketing team to create social media content that simplified complex information into clear and engaging visuals. Working from creative briefs, I translated product features, updates, and key messages into easy-to-understand graphics and animations for Instagram, helping communicate information quickly and effectively to the audience.

Alongside these projects, I balanced ongoing responsibilities for the design team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines across different departments while maintaining a consistent visual standard.

Creating User-Friendly Templates for Different Industries

Designing templates for a global audience required adapting to different industries, content formats, and design trends. Beyond visual appeal, I focused on creating templates that were easy to customize, balancing creativity with usability so users could quickly adapt them to their own content. I also created custom hand-drawn illustrations featured in selected templates and used PiktoAI Studio to generate 3D assets.
